Kindergarten

Today I taught some kindergarten classes about money. We talked about coin, the presidents on the coins, and saving money.

Keeping in mind that this conversation was about MONEY, here are some things the kindergartners said:

"My uncle saw a deer."

"I have a thousand, fousand, zousand dollars."

"My name is Hampton."

"My sister and I used to steal money, but we don't any more."

"My dad lost his job at Stouffers because he got fired."

"Did you know that I have a Wii?"

I loved kindergarten! When I walked into the first classroom, on the board was their agenda for the day. It said:

"Today we talk about money and penguins."

I could totally go to kindergarten every day--money and penguins? My kind of day!!!

Welcome to my life...everyday. Throw some kids with autism in the mix and you'll really have a party. :)

Javi would love that day. :-) He calls all money pennies. He even found a $5 bill, and that is also a penny. He wanted to stick it in the horse and ride. I tried to tell him that it was worth 500 horse rides, but since he can only count to 15 he didn't really get it.

There is nothing greater than listening to children talk. They are the best. You were lucky to have such a fun day!
