I'm sitting in a classroom without windows, doing some studying while I wait for my next obligation to begin. If I got up out of my chair, left the classroom, and walked down the hall a bit, I'd be able to see outside.
I'm pretty lazy, so I needed a creative solution to see what the weather is doing. We're in the middle of a yucky storm, but the last time I looked out a window, the snow was light and fluffy and innocent looking. I decided that I'd just look at the weather app on my iPhone instead of walking to the window. (Don't judge me--I'm tired.)
The current weather is listed as "Wintery Mix" with a picture to illustrate. The picture has clouds above a space. In the space, on the righthand side, there is a still picture of rain. On the lefthand side, a still picture of snowflakes. And in the middle? Well, the middle has an animation of small, unidentifiable balls pelting straight down in an angry motion.
That's not comforting at all. Should've brought pajamas and just stayed here tonight.

I want you to know that I would have just looked up the weather on the app too. What's the point of getting up when it's right at your fingertips? :)
Ditto.
It is genetic, by the way. You all text/chat/email each other even when you're sitting in the same room. I think we default to the tech solution in our family. :-)
