When men wear suits, the suits are just called suits. They have pants and a jacket.

When women wear suits with pants and a jacket, they're called pantsuits.

When women wear suits with a skirt and a jacket, they're called suits.

Am I the only one who finds this totally bizarre?

I think that suits with pants should just be called suits, no matter who wears them, and that suits with skirts should be skirtsuits, no matter who wears them.
