Past/Future

Seven years ago today, I sat down in a training room for my first day at my new, fancy job.

Today, I sat down in my cubicle at the same company. Although my job is now somewhat different than it was seven years ago, many, many elements remain the same.

Sometimes, it seems like I just started yesterday.

Other times, it seems like I've always worked there.

Two different employees asked me today what I thought my long-term plan was. Apparently, I'm starting to look old for my job.

Maybe it's because you finally graduated. They all knew you weren't going to do anything until you graduated and now they don't know what you are going to do. That's OK, though, because you don't know what you are going to do, either.

Well good job at 7 years. That's a huge step. I've now been with the same company for 15 months. And am getting ready to take another big step forward. But you will have to check my blog later to find out about that. Haven't seen you for a while. You'll have to come over sometime for dinner and wii.

You're just starting to look old in general. ;-)

Perhaps, LL, but you and I are, evidently, very similar looking, so if I'm starting to look old, SO ARE YOU!! :)

Don't I know it! The good news for me is I look younger, say, 30. The bad news for you is that you look 30. Ha ha! :-)
