Now, she's gone. Their plane should've taken off a few minutes ago.
Back to real life. Back to focusing. Back to sorting. Back to figuring out what on earth I'm doing.
First order of business? Tough call. Either shower or nap. It's almost 8:00, so I shouldn't take a nap...I feel really tired, but I think that's mostly because I'm sad.
Last time I went out to visit my sister and her family, one of her sons had a ball that broke. He started to fuss and cry about how sad it was, and she reminded him that instead of crying when things were over, we could remember all the fun times we had with the ball and how great it was.
So, in that spirit, here's a funny list of things my nephews said/did while they were here.

Bean (4 years old): That's our stroller!
Me: Well, hello, strolley!!
Bean: (completely serious, and slightly confused): It does not talk.

Me: I've got your feet! What are you going to go now??
Bean: The airport.

Me: Okay, I'm heading out!
Moo (2.5 years old): Where are you going?
Me: Work.
Moo: Why?
Me: (long pause) I have no idea...

Me: I'm sure going to miss you! When should I come visit?
Bean: How about Saturday?
Me: Um, I can't come on Saturday...
Bean: Okay, how about Thursday?
Me: I have to work on Thursday.
Bean: Why?
Me: (sigh) I don't know...

Bean: You're tasty all over!

Moo: I'm burned! I'm burned!

Bug: (drool, cry, redeem self with gorgeous smile)

Bean: Peanut butter and jelly is a big snack. Peanut butter and jam is a little snack.

Me: Why?
Bean: Because your room is so messy.
Me: Uh, yeah, I guess I am.
Bean: Why is it so messy?
Me: Um, I've been busy...

I totally missed the messy room one. Too funny. Their room is always perfectly clean, since we don't keep toys up there. Except for the time they pooped all over the floor. Then it was messy, and they were sad. Huh.
Hah hah hah! Well, Messy Room Lady - Hopefully it's just stuff and no poop!
um...they are darling! i LOVED meeting them too, finally! kids do say the darndest things! Kayt would ask why I had to go to work too, and I think I had the same reaction!
