New Apartment Issues

I lock my front door whenever I get home. Today, it threw someone for a loop, because apparently, he has been just knocking and walking into the apartment where my roommates used to live.

I felt bad, because not only was he not able to just walk in, but when I answered the door, I didn't just invite him in. I waited for my other roommate who he was there to see to come to the door, and then let her decide whether or not to invite him in. I just didn't know if she was in the mood for company, so I wanted her to have options.

Anyway, people are probably having a hard time adjusting to my new roommates living with me. Sorry to all those who will be thrown off. I'm worth it though. :)

I swear, girls can be so dumb. I realize we live in Happy Valley, but that doesn't give us lisence (can't spell, sorry) to disregard our safety. Thanks for being safe and spreading the word.

I agree...It is better to be safe than sorry. One day your roommates will thank you for that! I never could stand it when my roommates would just let guys walk in and out of my apartment all the time. Sometimes I just wanted to watch TV in my pajamas, and not worry about anyone seeing me!

Yeah, that's my problem--I like to walk around in clothing that I certainly wouldn't want to be seen in by the general public, and actually, lots of times I'm just back in my room but it's far away from the door and anyone could just come in...I used to live with people who just let whoever come in, but I got in the habit of locking the door, and now I just don't think about it.

And my roommates are really great about it--I don't think that it bothers them that I lock the door--but it seems to bother everyone else...oh well. :)
