Well, it wasn't exactly strep throat that was brought up in the conversation, but it was a non-toilet disease. I just like the absurdity of it being strep throat.
Someone thought that they got sick from sharing a toilet with someone else, and I was like, uh, unless you got some interesting diseases, I'm pretty sure not. It's much, much more likely that you get sick from sharing living space, not the toilet. Except for those special diseases, of course. :)
LOL...okay, well, now I know that I don't want to share a toilet with Jeremiah... :)
He he...yeah, I suppose there is a reason to worry about those special diseases from toilets, but I think I learned once that most of them can't live for more than like 20 minutes on a hard surface like a toilet seat...hmm...new things to be paranoid about...
OK everyone. Quit worrying about toilet seats. You would have to have a break in your skin for germs to get into in the first place. And it would have to be at about the same time that someone managed to get germs on the toilet seat. So unlikely that it's not worth worrying about unless you are in the habit of NOT washing your hands. OK?
I always line the seat with a nice thick layer of TP, or a toilet seat cover. They don't have the covers in Canada...talk about third world country... :-)

Jeremiah says, "It depends on how you use the toilet." Gross, but you know there are weird people out there.
Gross....I don't think I want to use a public toilet ever again! I never thought about what I could and could not catch from one - until now!

I love that we all have more to say about diseases on a toilet seat than any other topic we have blogged about.
