The WGA is on strike, if you haven't heard...I know that most people know about it, but I did have to tell my sister (she just doesn't pay attention to those kinds of things) so I thought I should let everyone know.
I'm really at peace with the whole situation. I am firmly behind the writer's guild, although I don't know what this will do to them in the future--they may wish they hadn't done this later--but they definitely are justified in their demands.
That said, I'm sort of relieved. Apparently, I have no self control, so I need them to just stop making television so I don't have to watch it, and now they have! Most of my shows just have two or three weeks left, and then they'll be in reruns. This will be great--more time for homework, socializing (or not), sleeping, etc. Of course, the problem here is that now I'm going to want to buy an XBox even more...that would be bad, because then after I get hooked on gaming all the time, then TV will come back and then I'll REALLY be hosed.
My life is so hard, clearly...

There are certainly worse problems to have. :-) But I'm the same way. I've got too much in the Tivo and I'm kind of glad it is going to slow down.
And I might not know about what goes on in the entertainment world, but I can tell you what happened this morning on Bo, who the bad guy was, and which animoves they needed. :-)
LOL. I'm glad you know that--I have no idea about those kinds of things, so it's a good thing that you're paying attention to them for me.
Of course, if the children's shows are written by people in the writer's guild, you'd better just save the ones on the tivo for a while...
I heard about it, but it doesn't really phase us, 'cause we don't have any t.v. channels! One advantage to a limited budget, I guess! Here's my email address: laniaxman@gmail.com
They rerun the same, oh I don't know, 10, maybe, episodes of George and Bo. And Javi wouldn't care at all if there were just one episode. He'd still be happy to watch it every day. I have the TiVo set to keep 5 episodes, so even if they stop broadcasting it we'd be fine. But I'm sure they won't. No one is working overtime writing these shows...
