Validation

Today in class, someone asked me when I'd be graduating.  When I told them that it would be in August, their eyes got big and they said "Oh! That's so SOON! You must be so excited!"

It was delightful. August doesn't feel soon, but time is really relative, and to lots of the people in my classes, August sounds really soon.

I've decided that I'm going to start telling everyone I meet that I'm graduating in August so that they can be excited for me. Their excitement helps August feel a little bit closer.

I may just get a shirt that says "I'm graduating in August!" in big letters on it.
