Most of the time, I'm inside. I like to stay inside when possible, which means I haven't been running all of my errands or being very productive on the weekends. Too hot. I have to go down to Macy's this weekend, and it makes me just want to cry--my least favorite place to shop, and it'll be hot and unpleasant to get there and back, too.
Weirdly, it's extremely chilly in my office building. The other day, I had to turn on a space heater because it was so, so cold in my office.
How is that possible?
Someone wanted to go out for Pinkberry today, but the thought of frozen yogurt just made me shiver.
Any day now, fall will come.
Please, please fall...you can do it!

i agree that NYC has a special kind of heat. i was there in August once & thought i might die. but, i also had swine flu so that contributed to the fear of death thing.
I think the Big Firm is using the AC as a power play. Like, ya, we're THAT rich, we can make you wear a coat when it's 100+ degrees outside...
Or maybe it's the maintenance guy playing a cruel trick on you all...
Or maybe you have a good location relative to the AC unit...
Or maybe they're just trying to beat the heat...
Or maybe it's the middle of the night and I should go to bed. Yes - I think we've found a winner!
I used to wow my coworkers by wearing gloves and a sweatshirt all summer long. They were a bunch of big sweaty guys...I'm sure we looked funny in the conference room together, me all bundled up, them all red faced and smelly. Hee hee...
Hang in there...soon enough you'll be out here for a visit, and then you'll know what misery feels like. :-)
