Today, in the primary class I was teaching, I used the word "dude" once to get the attention of one of the kids.

Another student replied "Old people can't say dude!"

I told her that I had been saying "dude" since long before she was born. She repeated her sentiment, saying that I just couldn't say that.

My reply: "Watch me."
